OMG Weekly Meeting and Open Shop

Omaha Maker Group, The Makery (basement of Omar Baking Building), 4388 Nicholas Street

Tuesday, Sep. 4, 7 p.m. FREE

Omaha Maker Group features bi-weekly meetings on Tuesdays, with “Off Week Wednesdays” on the alternate week. Tuesday meetings open with a brief introduction of the current projects happening within the group, then feature a 30-45 minute relevant presentation either from one of our members or from a partner organization. Previous presentations have included electric race cars, introduction to vintage and antique tools, amateur radio, lock picking, biolabs, introduction to fabricating with sheet plastic, 3D printing, rocketry, quadcopters, candle making, and aluminum forging.

Following the meeting, the makerspace is open for Open Shop Time until the end of the evening. Members and guests are encouraged to use the tools and workbenches to start and/or continue working on their individual projects, or join in on one of the many collaborative group projects.
